What is the exam pattern for the International Foundation Science Olympiad for Classes 1 to 12?


EXAMINATION PROCESS

We continue to conduct our main Olympiads in ONLINE mode this year — both to prioritize safety amid unpredictable conditions and to embrace the digital transformation in education. The IOF Online Olympiads are open to students from Class 1 to 12 across 14 subjects, and are available to all boards including CBSE, ICSE, State Boards, IB, IGCSE, ISC, and more.

ENSURING EXAM INTEGRITY

We’ve implemented strong measures to uphold the integrity of the Olympiads:

  • 🔄 Shuffling & rotation of questions and options so no two students get the same paper
  • 📸 Webcam proctoring with auto-image capture
  • 🚫 No tab switching allowed during the exam
  • 🖥️ Full-screen mode enforced to prevent distractions and ensure focused test-taking

FREE MOCK TEST

To help students get comfortable with the online exam platform, we offer a free mock test to all registered participants. This also ensures the device they intend to use is compatible.

✅ Device Requirements: Windows Desktop / Laptop / Tablet or Android Tablet / Smartphone with webcam/camera and broadband internet.

REGISTRATION FEE

  • 💰 For students in India: ₹150 per Olympiad ➤ Get 20% off when registering for 5 or more Olympiads
  • 🌐 For students outside India: USD 8 per Olympiad ➤ 20% discount for 5 or more Olympiads
  • 🎖️ FREE for Indian students whose parent was martyred in defence operations ➤ Schools must share details of eligible students with us
